So how powerful is the web? Or maybe I should ask how generous are people today...I was messing around on YouTube and when I made the clip below it reminded me of the cult classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. I was laughing to myself remembering the campaign -- and a few googles and an hour later, I planted the seed for my own fundraiser.

I'm sure by this point you've scratched your head, IM'd a couple of mates, and said why bother -- surely I couldn't help Russell Oatlicker get home with my penny and a couple of clicks.

Now then, in most circumstances I guess I would do the same, and then move along -- yep, I'm pretty lazy too -- however, I've set this site up to be as simple as possible. I just stumbled across IndieKarma, a cool new take on micropayments, and within an hour my campaign was started.
